Our story

A Direct Line From Tanzanian Farms to Your Mill

Since 2010 we have worked as a wholesale supplier and exporter from Tanzania, buying sesame direct from smallholder farmers across the central and southern growing belt — handling collection, cleaning, lab testing and export documentation in-house, so importers get a clearer price and a known origin.

Grown on family farms

We buy direct from smallholder growers across Dodoma, Singida, Morogoro, Lindi and Mtwara — every lot traceable to the district it grew in.

Cleaned & shipped by us

How we work

From Field to Port, Quality at Every Step

Rain-Fed & Naturally Grown

Sown with the December–February rains on smallholder farms across Tanzania's sesame belt, harvested and sun-dried in the dry season.

Sortex-Cleaned Lots

Sieving, destoning and optical sortex cleaning take natural white lots to 99.95% purity — dark seed and admixture removed before bagging.

Export-Ready Bagging

Moisture verified at 6% or below, packed in 25/50 kg PP bags or 1 MT jumbos, and loaded to hold condition across long ocean transits.

What buyers say

Trusted by Importers Worldwide

For a crushing mill, oil content is the contract. Afri Exports assays every lot and the delivered seed lands inside the band they quote — 52 to 54 per cent on the bold lots, season after season. That consistency is why we keep the programme running.
Chen WeimingProcurement Director, Jinhe Edible Oils · Qingdao, China
We test every arrival independently, and their sortex lots keep coming back at the purity on the certificate — 99.95 per cent with no dark seed in the sample dishes. The lab reports arrive before the vessel does, which makes our QA release fast.
Yuki TanakaQuality Assurance Manager, Sakura Foods Co. · Osaka, Japan
Tahini forgives nothing — high FFA turns a whole batch bitter. Three years of containers from Tanzania and the FFA has never crossed 2 per cent. My father ran this mill before me, and he would have liked these people.
Mehmet KayaOwner, Kaya Tahin · Gaziantep, Turkey
The pre-shipment sample is an honest picture of the lot, not a hand-picked showcase. What we approve is what clears the port. For a specialty importer juggling small margins, that honesty in sampling is worth more than a discount.
